Pizza Margherita

Hey Friends, welcome to the final recipe of PIZZA SERIES which has been on for the month of June! I hope you have had to try and enjoy one or two of these pizza toppings and if you have not, what are you waiting for?? Margherita pizza is the simplest of it all and so if you like less drama with your toppings, you might like this one! To make this,

You will need:

a pizza pan or stone

1 large cooking spoon/cup of pizza sauce

½ cup of shredded/grated mozzarella cheese

½ cup of shredded/grated Parmesan NOTE: Parmesan is optional; if you choose to use only mozzarella, then substitute this measurement with mozzarella.

4 basil leaves

Directions

  1. Preheat your Oven to 250ºC or 470ºF for about 30 minutes before placing the pizza into the oven. Oven needs to be very hot.

  2. Rub some flour on the pizza pan so the stretched dough does not stick and prepare your pizza toppings

  3. Get your risen dough and stretch using your hands or using a rolling pin, roll out the dough into a floured surface into your desired shape. Stretch/Roll it out until the dough is flat not thick or depending on how thin or thick you want your crust! The dough will rise while in the oven, so you want to take that into consideration..

  4. Place a Scoop of the pizza sauce and spread around the dough.

  5. Add the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese onto the dough and add the basil leaves

  6. Bake in the oven for about 8– 10 minutes or till crust is brown and cheese is bubbling.

  7. Drizzle olive oil around the pizza crust edges for a golden look. Let pizza rest for a minute and slice away!

This is the End of our Pizza series at least for now and I hope you guys get to try at least one of these pizzas.

Don’t forget to share with your friends and family!

Till the next recipe xx
