Creamy Mash Potato

If you want to make bomb cheesy mash potatoes, then you need to get in here (well you’re here technically lool)!! I love mashed potatoes and its even more delicious with cheese and the goodies in it! If you have dairy allergies, please this is not for you. Hopefully in the nearest future, I would come up with a dairy free mash potato recipe. Now let’s get down to business:

You will need:

  • Potato masher

  • 2kg yellow/irish potatoes

  • 2 teaspoon salt

  • 54g butter

  • 100g grated mature cheddar

  • 3 tablespoon cream cheese

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

  1. Peel and cut potatoes into small quarters or half depending on how big the potatoes are.

  2. Place in a sauce pan, add water, salt and bring to boil till its soft.

  3. When boiled, turn off the heat and drain the water.

  4. Add in butter, cheddar, cream cheese, black pepper, paprika, butter while still hot (do this right after you take the potatoes off the fire and have drained the water, you don’t want the potatoes getting cold before mashing)

  5. Mash away till you get a fairly smooth consistency.

  6. Mashed potatoes is ready and can be served with gravy, grilled chicken, ribs with some sautéed green beans or vegetable of choice!

  7. I have a spicy marinade recipe on the blog which is prefect for grilling chicken or barbecue!

Enjoy! xx
